I can't say I'm exactly over the moon about this "Project Needlemouse" that SEGA have been bragging about.

All I can say is: IF THEY BRING BACK THAT CHUBBY ABOMINATION, THEN I WILL PERSONALLY DESTROY THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE. I WILL GET YOU. NO MATTER WHERE YOU RUN, NO MATTER WHERE YOU HIDE. I WILL DESTROY YOU. I WILL CUT YOU TO PIECES WITH YOUR VERY OWN GAME DISC. :chainsaw:

I don't think I need to explain further, except that I think the day stages in Sonic Unleashed will still blow the pants off whatever SEGA have up their sleeve.

Admittedly, it probably is. I liked the idea of having a future that was radically different from the normal Sonic universe, but without all the trashy sort of stuff that you got in Eggmanland.

He does, I'm working on the concept art as we speak. Having a graphics tablet makes things one heck of a lot easier. :D

Maybe check out Sonic CD if you haven't already? It'll give you a clue as to how an Eggman future might look that isn't so bloody camp and sickening. Although I admit the souvenirs and food sold in Eggmanland made me laugh. xD

I've already done so. The Eggman-Futures there are good, and I'll definitely consider taking some ideas from there. I liked the idea of having an eco-friendly element to it as well, maybe the odd wind turbine or solar panel here and there. One problem I can see is the fact that I wanted to script Peak Oil into the game, which would mean that Eggman would find it difficult to create any robots, especially as he would me dogged by a megalomaniacal Sonic on occasions.

Souvenirs? I didn't see any shops there at all, whereabouts were they?

Having a graphics tablet means that I can do twice as much in half the time. It also makes colouring a lot easier too.

I could only see Eggman going eco-friendly if he was going to run out of fuel D: I think Eggman's whole character was based on being pollution-friendly though D;
If you beat the game, go back to Eggmanland and go to the 'Eggmanland' town, and then you get three robots and a hotdog vendor that are all mad XD
Sounds like a winning situation. =)
